Thank you so much for going above and beyond to make sure that we had our son's prescription in time for our holiday, it was all very last minute and you were very kind and helpful, it was much appreciated.
More full-time medics and fewer part-time medics would surely facilitate patient opportunity for seeing a preferred doctor on a continuous basis. I cannot remember seeing the same doctor twice in succession.
As to the Question about how easy it is to get an appointment either by phone or at the surgery i think this question should be split into two as in my experience. it is easy at the surgery but nigh-on impossible by phone.
I now want to praise one doctor in particular, Dr Nearny whom i find very professional ,
empathetic and patient.
If you do need to see or speak to a doctor the same day reception always try and get you put on a list to receive a call if all the appointments are gone. Also there are so many decent GPS at this surgery. Dr Nearney is exceptional, he goes above and beyond for his patients. The only system they could improve is the repeat prescription service. It would be easier for patients if they were issued quicker. Great service all round.
Terrible communication, especially letters, inviting you to take up services that don't exist or are not available in the time frame described.
The reception staff assume you 'know the ropes' about how the health system works and can make you feel foolish by their tone of voice if you're new to it all. They should also speak more quietly if they are going to talk about people, semi-hushed tones didn't/don't quite do it.
